Question
Sir, Does long term celibacy can remove old pitted scars ocur due to disease?
Answer
After the Yogi acquires the 'Divya Sharira' (Divine body purified through 'Yogaagni' [fire of Yoga] upon entering Nirvikalpa Samadhi), his body gets fully purified and free from all debility and decay. On attaining to this stage, the body is blessed with perfect health free from all abnormalities. Since the possibility for the removal of all sorts of imperfections in the body dawns at this stage, the possibility of removal of scars also exists.
In the Yoga Darshana , Sage Pathanjali sums up the state of 'Divya Sharira' with the following words:
"Rupa, lavanya, bala, vajrasamhananatvaani Kaya sampath "
--" Beauty, fine complexion, strength and adamantine toughness involve the perfect (divine) body" -- Yoga Darshana, Vibhuti Pada, Verse - 47
Such a body is acquired by the Yogi on mastering the 'Pancha mahabhutas' (five elements: space, air, fire, water and earth) though Samyama, leading to 'Bhuta-siddhi' after Nirvikalpa or Nirbija samadhi. Exquisite beauty and grace radiate from such a Yogi further to the removal of karma-s which were responsible for their obstruction.
However, whether deep scars/pit marks completely disappear will vary from person to person depending on the strength of karma responsible for their occurance and the will of the Almighty. This body is the medium created by him and HE alone decides its future course.
