Danger of yoga for Christians?

Dhananjay • 3/20/2016
Question

Is it dangerous for christians?

Answer

Who is a Christian? Who is a Hindu? Who is a Muslim? Did you call yourself a Christian when fast asleep? Can being a Christian or Hindu empower one from not eating food? Can a Muslim live without drinking water because he is a Muslim? Is there anyone of any religion who does not suffer when afflicted with disease or injury? Is the blood of a man of this or some other religion different in color and thickness from that of another? Is there any sign on the body of a new born child that he/she belongs to one or the other religion?

There is no difference between people, be they of any religion, when it comes to the basic needs of the body or the mind. All wake up in the morning, all have to attend to the calls of nature, all get hungry, all feel the need for love, all work for a living and all have to sleep, whatever be their religion, at the end of the day

One should let go of this foolish fundamentalism, proclaiming himself this or that, claiming one's path as superior to that of another, when there is not the least difference as regards the core needs and nature. Religion is a path to reach one's self. There are as many paths, as there are people. None is superior or inferior. They are all to be respected, just as the people following them. The wise do not waste their time, getting lost in the endless forest of religious fundamentalism.

Yoga is realizing oneself to be what he is. Then, the self is revealed. There is no religion, cast, creed, gender or other super-impositions in the self. It is one, without a second. So the question of harming does not arise, because there is nothing there to harm. Harm or danger applies to the unreal and not the real. The reality is continuous, eternal, infinite and all pervading, beyond the realm of sorrow
