Divine dreams
Question
Hello Sir, A few nights ago I dreamed I was watching apples fall from a tree and bounce on the ground. In watching the apples bounce, I felt like I was seeing divine play at work. At the same time, I was reminded of the wonder I felt as a young child. This experience was powerful for me and I began crying in the dream and woke up crying. I am 59 years old with 5 months unbroken brahmacharya. My questions are: Is this dream a reflection of my brahmacharya efforts? Also, can this type of experience in a dream be reasonably expected to manifest in waking life if one continues along the path of brahmacharya?
Answer
As unbroken Brahmacharya with God devotion and meditation progresses, the aspirant experiences various divine occurances both in the waking & dream state. Those experiences which he was oblivious to earlier become discernable with their divine meaning, representing the power and play of the Almighty. One starts to see the beauty of the Almighty in all things & events and feels a unique sense of happiness. Continuing this mode of life for a few years in an unbroken manner takes one spiritually higher, whereupon starts the bliss which is beyond words.
