Question

Dear Mr. Dhananjay,

Thank you for your valuable service.

I have been practicing the following sets of Asanas. I would like to get your thoughts on any changes needed in this sequence.

- Standing:
     - Dwikonasana
- On Belly:
     - Bhujangasana
     - Shalabhaasana
     - Dhanurasana
- On Back:
     - Sirsasana
     - Sarvangasana
     - Halasana
     - Matsyasana
- Forward Bend:
     - Paschimottanasana
     - Ardha Matsyendrasana
     - Gorakshasana
     - Yoga-Mudra

I want to make sure that I am not doing them in wrong sequence or order. Or some other asana could be included.

Thank you for your help.

With regards,
Gary

Answer

These will do. The breathing is to be slow, gradual and smooth, with 'Puraka' (Inhalation) during upward (expanding) movements, 'Rechaka' (Exhalation) during downward (contracting) movements and 'Kumbhaka' (retention) while maintaining the final pose.

ॐ तत् सत्
