Kundalini and Passive state

Dhananjay • 2/19/2014
Question

Hello, as an expert in yoga and kundalini, to awake kundalini, do we have to cultivate and remain in a passive state of mind where there is mental stillness? WHat is the  difference between that and some individual who go in a passive state but at the same time they are not conscious or aware of their experience of unconciousness as in a medium-trance or sleep, there is no real spiritual progress for such trance or sleep.

Answer

1. Kundalini awakening occurs all by itself, when a life of Yoga with Brahmacharya is practiced, as suggested earlier to realize the self. Separate efforts are not necessary. Maintaining a mental state anchored to the self is what is required.

2. The state of being in the self, as the self is the only true state. All other states are an illusion, as in a dream.
