Physical/astral body and the seat of sex drive
Question
QUESTION: Hello Sir,
I ask this as a private question, because I dont think people are interested in this suject. Do all the spiritual beings without physical body are brahmachari? Is the sex drive in the organs or mind? In stories some spiritual beings like goblins and apsaras (nymphs) are still interested in sexual desires and can attack meditators according to stories.
ANSWER: 1. Possessing or not possessing a physical body has no connection with Brahmacharya. The body, be it physical or astral is only a covering on the Atman. There are advanced beings with and without a physical body. Similarly, there are base beings both among those who have a physical body and those who do not.
2. The source of the sex drive is neither in the organs, nor in the mind but in seed form in the 'Karana Sharira' (causal body), from where it is projected into the mind as flow of related thought under favorable conditions. Hence, the wise one wishing to attain liberation burns those seeds through God surrender and Sadhana (practice).

QUESTION: Sir, so those stories of divine heroes and saviors, offspring of mortals and gods, are true?
Answer
1. Is the world real? The stories concerning this or other worlds are as real or as false. The worlds, physical or astral are only images on the screen of consciousness, as are the images on a movie screen. These concern the Ego and not the self.
2. The stories in mythology are symbolic, with the aim of conveying a particular moral. The entire world is itself the Lord's drama, meant to help the Ego realize its non-existence.
