Spirit bodies

Hi,
As you know there is a tradition of meditation which says that when someone conserve the essence of the body or vital energy and at the same time meditate to open chi channels, the body can become "pregnant" of a spiritual fetus. This fetu start to grow with meditation and become a complete immortal spirit body that can separate from the physical body and ascend to heaven. They say if someone dont cultivate this during lifetime, he will not ascend to the heaven. There is two types of body. The invisible one or yin body and the physical one or yang body. For an individual who reach that state to project the spirit, is this enligtnement or real immortality? http://www.all-dao.com/immortality-achievements.html
Answer
1. Who goes to heaven or hell? It is the Ego and not the self, which is all pervading. Heaven and hell are unreal in terms of the absolute. He who goes to either of these without the knowledge of the self, has to eventually return back to Earth, on the physical plane, and continue with his efforts to realize the self.
2. Hence the quest for spirit or astral bodies is not of any use, being another novelty and nothing more. Living in a spirit body does not reduce one's ignorance by the least. It does not contribute in any way to Enlightenment, where, there is no body or mind. Hence the wise Yogi does not aspire for it.
To irreversibly reside in the self as the self is the only state worthy of attainment.
