Bodyweight and Brahamcharya

Dhananjay • 2/3/2015
Question

Hello Sir,

I dont know if its a problem but i dont understand this. Before practicing brahmacharya I was around 74 kg in weight and looked normal because its around my normal weight. After some 7-8 months of this practice with empty meditation, my weight is now 61 kg! (which even small girls weight more than me now) and I started to eat more to gain weight and it doesnt really work. But surprisely I look the same physically as if there was no weight loss, nobody even remarked, its strange. When i walk I dont feel any weight on the legs but more in the higher parts of the body like stomach, upper abdomen and head. Why could weight loss happens?

Answer

There is no need to worry, as long as one takes recourse to a balanced diet, adequate sleep and propeer Sadhana. The body will regulate to itself. Brahmacharya by itself does not cause weight loss or gain.
