Sexual feelings early in the mornings

Dhananjay • 5/19/2013
Question

During the day, I have some few sexual thought that I let go and they dissapear by themselves. NOW during the morning when I wake up but im still in bed, the sexual desires are strong and the temptation to break bramacharya too, but for now I still kept the promise to practice bramacharya. Why are sexual desires stronger in the morning when you are still in bed and dont put yourself in your feet and walk? Is that moment when your sexual desires are strong opportune to practice meditation? If I ever break the practice it will be in the morning never during the normal day...

Answer

1. Those subconscious thoughts that are the foremost resurge when out of sleep. These are in turn dependent of past & recent activity. Hence one should always strive to keep the body & mind pure & wake up very early to carry out Yogic practices to realize his self.

2. The body will have rested and is full of energy in the morning. This energy should not be let to turn into sexual energy but should be harnessed for Yoga & meditation with surrender to the Lord. After many years of such unbroken practice, one gradually overcomes such tendencies and gets closer to realizing his self.
