Meditation during sleep

Dhananjay • 11/7/2014
Question

How can we explain that state?

I always wondered as many other people if when the mind suddenly awakes in the middle of sleep but cant really move the body is a sort of meditative state or the start of an out of body experience. When awakening in this state all look very vivid and we are fully concious and one did nothing to have it, this state comes without one's willing it.

Answer

It is neither a meditative state, nor an out of the body experience. Inability to move the body at such times is the result of lack of coordination and transmission, further to a temporary break in the link between the body & mind.
