Eye - Retina Problem
Question
Hi Dhananjay ,
I tried my best to be celibate from past 4 years.Apart from wet dreams, there were no voluntary falls.Last December ,Due to some bad sanskaras ingrained in me ,I watched porn & fell voluntary twice within 2 hours period.I didn't masturbated , but suffered heavy loss of semen.
After 1 or 2 weeks,I suffered from jaundice.3 weeks later when I recovered,I discovered sudden loss of vision in my left eye. After I consulted ophthalmologist ,He told me that I am suffering from retinal Detachment & need to underwent surgery to prevent complete loss of vision in left eye.
I underwent scleral buckling surgery for that.1 month later,Doctor told me it was unsuccessful.I immediately rushed to chennai
& Sankara Netralaya treated it with type 2 (silicon oil is inserted in oil) surgery.
Almost 2 months have passed ,I can see blurred images through my left eye but cannot read from it.I didnot get any illness in past 4 years.
My question is:
1) Do break in Brahmacharya has anything to do with this very tough time considering the fact that doctors told me I have stretched retina from childhood & I was myopic child with 11.0D D lenses in both eye.To reduce lens power I also went laser lasik surgery in 2002.I am 28 now.
2)Please suggest me some exercises which I can follow to restore my vision or at-lest prevent any complications in right eye Doctors say I have high risk of developing cataract,Glaucoma & other eye disorders in future. Please help me in saving my eyes.
Awaiting for your response
Answer
1. Past karma works itself out through illness and disorders. These can be of any type and can affect any part of the body. Such effect of Prarabdha karma is unavoidable. The eye problem is the result of such past action.
2. Adhering to correct Brahmacharya will increase the chances of containing & reducing the problem. Conserved Veerya that is transmuted always improves eyesight. Perform the Yogic practices described in past answers. Do not exert to the point of discomfort. Meditate as often as possible. This will gradually improve eyesight in the course of time.
