Effects of lack of brahmacharya

Dhananjay • 11/1/2014
Question

Hi, ive remarked that when someone masturbate or lose his seed too much, he becomes shy when talking to others, or even less sociable as if somewhat restless in a given situation. Why is this so? Is it because he fear judgement of others or just an appearance? On the other side, if someone practice brahmacharya he doesnt care about anything really, what other says is of no importance or a waste of time. Both situations happened to me.

Answer

Brahmacharya takes one closer to the Atman (self), which one is. Abrahmacharya takes one away from the self, which one is not. The Atman is the source of all power. Going away from it is distancing oneself from life force. Therefore, lack of Brahmacharya saps one of life force, which is in turn seen in the form of lack of confidence etc.
