How to overcome failure
Question
Dear Sir,
I had been trying to follow the path of celibacy since last 3 years, in the first year i was able to continue it for 6 months, and then fell down, since then each time I decide to continue it, but every time the mind creates some illusions and forces me down.
My question is how can one be helped to stay celibate without falling?
Answer
Strong Samskara-s (impressions) and Vasana-s (tendencies) which are embedded due to past karma are the predominant reasons behind downfall. The only way to weaken these is through the regular practice of a life of Yoga & Brahmacharya carried out with cent percent determination and honesty. Donot worry about failure. Simply apply sincere efforts with devotion and complete surrender to the Lord. As an when such karma weakens, Brahmacharya becomes longer and finally life long.
