Prarabdha karma
Dhananjay • 6/26/2012
Question
sir, What role does prarabdha has in life of a human and how does manda, teevra and tarteevra prabdha effect one?
Answer
'Prarabdha karma' refers to that part of accrued karma which works out in the current existence. It cannot be negated or burnt. 'Agama karma' refers to that karma which is still in seed form in the 'Karana Sharira' (causal body) and which will flower in future existences. The Yogi who practices Samadhi meditation eventually acquires the siddhi of burning 'Agama' so as to annul subsequent births. But he still has to go through Prarabdha. As long as Prarabdha is not exhausted, the physical body cannot be discarded even by a self-realized and liberated soul.
