Stilling the mind

Can you pls advise any mid stilling (calming) exercises especially when one is in the office or a public place?

Answer
Take a few deep breaths, relax the body & mind, close the eyes if possible and realize yourself to be the Atman (self), infinite, an indivisible part of the all powerful cosmic being (Lord). This is your true state of being, formless, in the void, full of bliss, peace and eternal existence. It is of the nature of silence. Nothing touches or affects you, the Atman who is limitless and without attributes.
The world, thoughts and circumstances are all illusions on this eternal self which is always distinct from the illusion itself as is a piece of gold, pure as ever, despite covered by dust.
