Question

Dear Dhananjaya,

Further to the link below:

What yoga practice do you advise for children (say pre-teenagers/early teenagers) so that they excel in studies and other co-curricular areas and become more focused and determined?

Many Thanks,
Ganesh

Answer

All the Yogic practices (including chanting of 'OMKAR' in Padmasana) can be gradually applied on children above 5 years of age. Pranayama can be practiced once they cross 8 years of age. Children established in Yogic practices find it easier to take up Brahmacharya on reaching adolescence.
